Book Auction Report

Nancy Norwalk, the Director of the Philip Read Memorial Library, recently reported that the Artist-Designed Handmade Book Project/Silent Auction was again a tremendous success! This year the library received over $4,000 to put toward the completion of the downstairs addition. Congratulations to the Library Trustees and the Building Committee for executing a successful and original fundraiser! Great work! I’m looking forward to participating in the next one in 2009!

You may recognize these images from the Tapestry Painting series. I was very happy to hear that these books generated a lot of interest! Both books were SOLD! Yay! I am pleased that I was able to contribute to this worthy cause! :)
