New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone!

I wanted to start the new year off by saying a HUGE Thank You to my blog readers for all of your encouragement and support in 2007! I hope everyone is recovering nicely and getting ready to focus on those New Year’s Resolutions! As for me, even with the best of intentions, I’m feeling sluggish and having a bit of difficulty getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. However, I am determined to start the year off by getting right to work on those New Year’s Resolutions (no matter how exhausted I am). I don’t want to bore you with a long list of specifics about my hopes and dreams for 2008, but in general, my goal is to DO-BE-ACHIEVE MORE!!!

One of my Resolutions for 2008 is to paint more and participate in more gallery exhibitions. With this in mind, I hope to submit NEW work to the upcoming National Association of Women Artists National Small Works Exhibition. The show is being held at the N.A.W.A. Gallery in NYC later this winter, but the submission deadline is January 18th! Just over two weeks away! Oh dear, after our lengthy holiday marathon extravaganza I wasn’t sure I could function much less begin new paintings! But after recently receiving such positive response to the Tapestry Paintings, I have felt inspired to create new and different work in a similar Tapestry style. So that’s what I will be focusing on for the next few weeks. I hope to have something to share with you very soon.

Best of luck achieving your New Year’s Resolutions in 2008!
