Gloriosa Daisy

This is the main spectacle currently blooming in the Wildflower Meadow:

These are Gloriosa Daisies which are essentially Black-Eyed Susans on steroids. They are 3 times the size of their wild country cousins and often have three or four layers of petals. Pretty impressive huh? And they THRIVE in our Meadow, meaning these are the ideal plants for those of you who are into no maintenance gardening.

Thanks for the lovely pictures of Gloriosa Daisies. My Mother had Gloriosa Daisies in her garden and I haven't seen many since. She really loved them. And yes, they are impressive.
