The Tickseed (Lance-leaved Coreopsis) has really come into it’s own in the Wildflower Meadow this season. It has been wonderful to see all of that sunshiny yellow goodness glowing through this batch of gray weather we have been experiencing lately. I absolutely love the bright translucence of the jagged petals and the way the flowers just seem to float on light airy stems.

By the way, I apologize to those of you not into the insect thing, but I was fascinated by (and therefore had to include) the grasshopper shedding its skin. If anyone is curious about it, I found an informative page on the Grasshopper Life Cycle HERE.
