The Daybreak Collection

I have created a NEW Exalted Beauty Medallion collection entitled Daybreak! It is an abstract botanical line inspired by “The Living Painting”.

Here is the “Before” shot of the Exalted Beauty Daybreak Medallion collection:

These were the abstract polymer clay medallion blanks before the addition of the botanical shapes. The raised imagery was created with multiple layers and firings of liquid polymer clay. The basic design structure is sculptural organic botanical shapes juxtaposed against smooth flat abstract geometric bases. The resulting images allude to the lush abundance of the masses of wildflower buds as reach for their place in the sun.

Here is the “After” shot of the entire Exalted Beauty Daybreak collection with the raised sculptural shapes and metallic finish:

And here is a closer look at some of the individual Daybreak Medallions on the scanner:

The deep luminous multi-tonal metallic finish emulates the glorious shades of the sunrise, capturing that definitive moment as the sun sets off its first brilliant gleam, where all of nature becomes ignited by the dazzling light caught in the morning dew. To me, that moment of Daybreak is a time of joyous beauty, breathtaking to behold, exemplifying a new day, a new beginning and a time of hope. What better way to start the positive outcome your day then with a Daybreak Medallion?

I’m still working on the Daybreak backs, in-between painting exhibitions and life stuff, but I hope to have them completed and cataloged before the September rush. In the meantime, stay tuned to the blog for more floriferous fabulousity from “The Living Painting”. I look forward to seeing many of you in person at the upcoming art events!
