Mexican Sunflowers

Here are the Mexican Sunflowers that I planted at the back of our vegetable garden:

I planted this variety of super tall Marigolds as a natural and still attractive means to keep the deer out of the vegetable garden. It was suggested that deer find the marigold smell repulsive and therefore stay clear of eating anything near them. I personally haven’t noticed an odor but they really seem to have done their job. I love them! I think these Mexican Sunflower plants are absolutely beautiful and best of all, virtually maintenance free. I would definitely plant these again.
